Through the Alzheimer\u2019s journey; someone who can be there to answer specific medical questions.\u00a0 Marty is that someone.\u00a0 As a pharmacist, he is the<\/span><\/p>\n

medication expert and is also a fantastic Alzheimer\u2019s resource for the caregiver.\u00a0 I recently spoke to him for an hour about my mom who has Alzheimer\u2019s dementia and diabetes.\u00a0 Trying to manage diabetes in a patient who is eating every two hours but doesn\u2019t remember eating at all is a challenge.\u00a0 In contrast to a physician, Marty has more time to listen, educate and problem solve.\u00a0 Having to make medical decisions for a parent who can no longer do that for themselves is emotionally difficult.\u00a0 Marty makes that task more manageable because he is knowledgeable, detail oriented and empathetic. <\/span><\/p>\n

Mary says, \u201c<\/span>How did I never hear of a specialist like Dr. Eng? One who can be consulted by anyone taking medications but especially older adults and their families. He carefully went over all my prescribed medications and supplements suggested by multiple physicians for a large variety of problems.
